The site states, “Wouldn’t it be amazing to have millions praying for a cure?” I say, wouldn’t it be better to spend the money you’ve wasted on billboards on cancer research? They currently have 15 billboards up. The rate they’re paying, according to their site, is $6,000 per year. That’s $90,000 that could have gone directly toward finding a cure.

The web site also has the following statement:

Please partner with us and support this plea for prayer. Not only will it remind people to pray for a cure, the people afflicted by it and the researchers working so hard to find a cure, but it will also be a witness for our Lord… the One that heals us.

I really don’t think people who pray need a reminder, and many feel that it doesn’t send the right message about obtaining proper medical treatment.
